Medical Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist Lead to join our team at Watson Clinic. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our lab, performing accurate laboratory testing, and assisting with quality control programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate laboratory testing as ordered by clinicians, producing results in a timely manner.
- Assist the supervisor in observing and documenting quality assurance monitors, producing timely reports meeting regulatory requirements.
- Perform and understand quality control programs, including evaluation of values, documentation of errors, and corrective action.
- Perform and record scheduled equipment maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment problems, and provide technical support to laboratory staff and clinicians.
- Perform all routine and complex tests as ordered by clinicians, recognizing and following critical results procedures.
- Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other computer-related programs, actively participating in upgrades and assisting with developing and updating procedure manuals.
- Perform proficiency testing per scheduled rotation, assisting the supervisor in submitting results accurately and timely, and providing documentation of corrective action for results outside of acceptable limits.
Active State of Florida license as a Medical Technologist with licensure in the following specialties: Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Microbiology, Molecular Pathology. Registry with either ASCP or AAB preferred.
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related Science degree, along with the successful completion of an approved formal training program in Medical Technology.
