Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Ontario Public Service.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct physical assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and take medical histories to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work
  • Experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
