Role Overview

The Billing Specialist position is integral to providing vital transactional support for accounting functions within a designated business unit.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Delivering transactional assistance for key accounting functions, including invoice verification, expense documentation, and preliminary accruals
  • Compiling data to ensure precise transaction reporting
  • Executing basic bank reconciliations
  • Generating month-end journal entries
  • Inputting data into sub-ledger systems
  • Maintaining thorough records for audit compliance
  • Processing time cards, expense reports, and vendor invoices
  • Drafting client invoices
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial transactions
  • Supporting the implementation of RealSuite for new operational initiatives
  • Performing additional duties as required

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Community college diploma or equivalent training
  • Proficient in preparing month-end journal entries
  • Understanding of sub-ledger and general ledger interactions
  • Familiarity with audit standards
  • Strong communication abilities with team members and internal stakeholders
  • Skilled in drafting memos and providing variance explanations
  • Knowledgeable in accounting software and MS Office applications
