Key Responsibilities :

Leadership of the Case Management Team

Direct and coordinate the Case Management team, overseeing case management and operational processes while addressing issues as they arise. Provide guidance and support to Case Management Supervisors in planning activities and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure high-quality client services. Collaborate with the Recovery Manager to assess community needs, identifying the evolving requirements of affected populations in relation to case management and self-recovery programming, and recommend necessary escalations to recovery leadership. Deliver regular, comprehensive operational reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including contributions to situation reports and relevant operational data.

Implementation of Case Management & Service Delivery Frameworks

Ensure that Case Management services, tools, and processes are established in accordance with national directives and aligned with the Case Management methodology. Monitor and implement service metrics focusing on effectiveness, timeliness, and quality to support operational planning and reporting. Collaborate with the Rapid Deployment Case Management Team to ensure surge capacity, capacity building opportunities, and the sharing of best practices throughout operations. Assess and ensure the capacity, effectiveness, and quality of the Case Management structure, implementing beneficiary accountability and complaint mechanisms to enhance service delivery.

Communication and Representation Duties

Establish and maintain regular communication with relevant authorities and stakeholders in coordination with local staff. Represent the CRC at coordination meetings and liaise with government authorities and external agencies as necessary. Maintain regular communication with the Senior Manager, Case Management or their designate regarding all operational matters.

Qualifications :

A University Degree in Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Social Services, or Community Development, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role. Experience in program management, coordination, and client-facing roles, including direct case management or customer service. Familiarity with the Red Cross and experience in relief or recovery operations is a significant advantage. Proven experience in managing virtual teams. Proficiency in English or French is required; knowledge of Indigenous and other languages is an asset.

Working Conditions :

Work is primarily conducted in a clean and comfortable environment. Remote work arrangements will consider necessary tools and resources. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, is essential. Regular travel, including overnight stays within the province, will be necessary. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required. Potential for deployment in disaster areas and challenging conditions, which may include environmental, physical, and social stressors. Eligibility to work in Canada is required. Candidates must ensure they meet visa requirements for employment. Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, including an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
