- Student Management: Maintain control of student behavior during transit to ensure a distraction-free environment.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to oversee vehicle condition.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Licenses: Class 2/2F/C Licence and School Bus Endorsement are required.
- First Aid Certification: Must possess a valid First Aid Certificate.
- Previous Experience: 1 to 2 years as a school bus driver or in a similar role.
- Local Travel: Familiarity with local routes is preferred.
- Background Checks: A criminal record check and driving record check (abstract) are mandatory.
- Driver's Abstract: A valid driver's abstract is required.
- Physical Requirements: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to sit for extended periods.
- Personal Attributes: Strong client focus, excellent oral communication skills, sound judgment, and reliability are essential.
- Work Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week.
