Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Operations Specialist to join our team at Canamex-Carbra Transportation Services Inc.

About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a two-person team or convoy, transporting goods and materials across various routes.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the condition of your vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe transportation.
  • In addition to driving duties, you will also perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as oversee all aspects of the vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques to improve overall performance.
  • Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and obtain necessary documents for international routes.
  • Loading and unloading goods, performing brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and maintaining the vehicle's preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Relaying information to central dispatch, recording cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transit.

Requirements

  • AZ class license required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and trip recorders.
  • Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and prolonged periods of sitting.

Salary and Benefits
