About the Role:

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time contract position based in the Four Seasons Corporate Office in Toronto. As a Product Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Director, OS&E, Design Services, and will be responsible for interacting with internal stakeholders at various levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a sample catalogue for all products
  • Maintain the Research and Discovery (R&D) studio and reference library
  • Request and receive samples
  • Develop and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Support project and process needs
  • Issue designer feedback
  • Support team with internal and external communication needs
  • Organize project documents, design renderings, and support project kick off
  • Project management, timelines, and milestones
  • New product launch plans and presentations
  • Monitor market and consumer trends in product, retail, and hospitality, including competitors
  • Maintain and update the list of pre-qualified designers across commodities
  • On-board new designers across all commodities
  • Vetting of new designers, issue Requests For Information (RFIs)
  • Updating and maintaining of designer portfolios
  • Sourcing new OS&E vendors, focusing on product and regional gaps

Requirements:

  • A go-getter, self-motivator, can-do approach to work, and a bias for action
  • Eager to research and create new business relationships independently
  • Ability to set agenda and chart course forward in a lean team environment
  • Ability to think out-of-the box and drive creative solutions
  • Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends
  • Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate, and influence in a matrix environment
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) or similar
  • Financial acumen and understanding of hospitality project costs
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Graduate in design discipline
  • Experience in luxury product development
