Role Overview

As a Clinical Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing product design and usability by fostering collaboration between our technical teams and clinical users. Your expertise will guide technical assessments across various disciplines to identify and implement product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and observe clinical applications:
  • Collaborate with Field Clinical Specialists to ensure the safe and effective application of our products.
  • Gather insights and feedback from clinical environments, ensuring timely communication of product modifications to users.
  • Provide direct assistance during clinical procedures, acting as a Software operator and supporting physicians with Hardware.
  • Engage in travel to various trial sites as required.
  • Support pre-clinical initiatives:
  • Assist the Research team in executing pre-clinical studies and gather valuable feedback for product development.
  • Assess implications of pre-clinical findings on clinical applications and follow up as necessary.
  • Deliver training sessions for Field Clinical Specialists, ensuring comprehensive understanding of product usage.
  • Conduct clinical and pre-clinical investigations:
  • Utilize your knowledge to define new investigation scopes aimed at product improvements.
  • Develop analytical tools and collaborate with various teams to enhance product features.
  • Provide clinical engineering expertise across the organization:
  • Advise on best practices for the application of our systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, or life sciences.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities under pressure.
  • Experience in Software, Electrical, and Mechanical systems design.
  • A background in handling medical devices, particularly in interventional cardiology.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB.
  • Analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
