Job Title: Clinical Informatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing clinical information systems that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical workflow assessments and translate requirements into digital health/information technology solutions.
  • Liaise with clinical groups, project teams, and stakeholders to identify technology gaps and clinical needs for providers and clinical users of the electronic health record system.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in system design, evaluation, and troubleshooting of clinical content and end-user support.
  • Lead and participate in steering committees and taskforces for PHSA clinical informatics and information technology initiatives.
  • Develop and implement clinical change management policies and procedures related to the electronic health record and clinical practice process redesign.
  • Lead the system design life cycle, including design, content development, validation, implementation, stabilization, and evaluation of electronic health information systems.
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three (3) years' experience in a Clinical Informatics environment, including experience facilitating or participating in Clinical and Systems Transformation (CST) implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical, operational, and vendor staff.
