About the Role

Boardwalk is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Red Deer. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by addressing maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer requests for maintenance within 72 hours, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to their issues.
  • Vacant Suite Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and touch-ups on vacant suites to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • General Maintenance: Conduct general maintenance and repairs on common areas and buildings, including equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and reporting to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure contractors arrive on schedule and complete their work as per the conditions of contract.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed, including snow removal and other critical tasks.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper management of tools and equipment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all required administrative tasks on a tablet, including documentation and reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years of maintenance service experience required, with 3 years of renovation experience preferred.
  • Language: Working knowledge of English language, both verbal and written.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with computer/tablet systems is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to spend up to 8 hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting, with the ability to maneuver up to 90kg with proper equipment.
