We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal to join our team at SkillsWave LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's legal strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage employment-related legal matters, litigation, and other legal issues that arise
- Advise the President and Executive Chairman on legal matters
- Act as a facilitator and trusted advisor to the business, providing practical legal advice across internal stakeholder groups
- Develop, draft, revise, administer, implement, and interpret the Company's compliance policies, procedures, and programs
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and government authorities as required
- Manage litigation, including eDiscovery and external litigation counsel
- Cross-functional project management
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience as a corporate lawyer
- Strong knowledge of and experience drafting and reviewing contract terms and conditions, including liability, indemnity, and IP considerations, government regulations, and procurement practices
- Transaction management experience an asset
- International experience an asset
We offer a competitive salary in the range of $120,000 to $150,000, based on the minimum level of work experience and qualifications. More senior candidates may apply, but note that the salary for the position has been set at the range listed.
