Job Summary
The Global Sourcing Manager will play a critical role in managing and enabling the sourcing process for contract manufacturers of finished dosage forms and packaging. This includes leading sourcing events, conducting due diligence, and analyzing data to ensure the best possible outcomes for Apotex.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential contract manufacturers, ensuring they meet Apotex's quality and technical standards.
- Lead the execution of third-party supplier due diligence, including quality, technical, supply chain, operations, and finance assessments.
- Develop and maintain a list of preferred vendors based on technology and capabilities.
- Work closely with the business development team to identify and pursue new commercial supply agreements and partnerships.
- Play a key role in the evaluation and analysis of proposals and quotations for 3rd party sourcing, ensuring a solid financial business case for recommending the 3rd party to award the business.
- Collaborate with finance and relevant departments on financial analysis and related sourcing decisions.
- Support the creation of business cases related to business actions and decision-making.
- Act as the subject matter expert in relevant tools and systems leveraged to support sourcing.
- Develop and refine 3rd party supplier contract templates and participate in the execution of said templates during the initial negotiation and eventual execution of 3rd party supply agreements.
- Take a lead role in the creation, documentation, and implementation of key business processes supporting sourcing and related activities.
- Ensure personal adherence to all compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a related discipline, such as science, procurement, supply chain, or engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with supplier/sourcing experience.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with strong to advanced Excel capabilities, and financial analysis.
- Excellent understanding and significant experience of ERP/SAP processes and master data related to supply chain management.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating project activities.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage relationships and communicate both orally and in writing, technical and non-technical information to all organization levels.
