Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Geneva Centre for Autism. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behaviour management programs, assisting clients with special needs, and performing administrative tasks. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with our team to provide high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behaviour management programs to support children and youth with ASD
  • Assist clients with special needs, promoting independence and self-advocacy
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
