Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Broker to join our team at People Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for meeting sales targets, building lasting relationships with clients, and providing expert insurance advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients
  • Active in front-line underwriting to ensure risk meets internal and insurance company guidelines
  • Cross-selling and upselling policies to ensure clients have the best coverage for their needs
  • Earn commission on new policies quoted and bound through referral leads
  • Document all interactions and transactions in broker management and insurance company portals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Generate leads through community involvement and events
  • Have in-depth knowledge of each insurance company's products, endorsements, packages, and payment plans
  • Conduct sales calls for new business and make timely renewal calls for existing customer business

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of insurance experience
  • RIBO License required
  • Other industry qualifications, such as CIP & CAIB, would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Sig, Applied Rating Services, AS400, and other company portals an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
