About the Role

Our client, a prominent law firm in Western Canada, is seeking a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic team. This position is based in the Langley office and is ideal for an individual who excels in organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting conflict searches and managing file openings, including client identification and verification processes.
  • Organizing and maintaining files and documentation efficiently.
  • Formatting legal documents to meet firm standards.
  • Assisting with commercial transactions, which includes coordinating electronic signatures and attending to closings and payouts.
  • Preparing various financial documents such as trust deposits, cheque requests, and billing reports.
  • Managing correspondence, including sending and receiving letters with or without enclosures.
  • Coordinating calendars for attorneys, scheduling meetings, and setting up virtual meetings using platforms like Zoom and Teams.
  • Performing additional administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a corporate environment.
  • Possession of a Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with tools such as DocuSign and myLTSA.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
