Job Title: Field Support Technician I

As a Field Support Technician, you will join our dedicated support team, where your enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service plays a crucial role in maintaining our high international customer satisfaction standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for on-site clients within your designated area, ensuring effective communication and a friendly demeanor while focusing on tailored solutions for each individual customer.

YOUR ROLE INCLUDES:

  • Addressing customer inquiries and troubleshooting various on-site challenges, including unique situations, while knowing when to seek assistance from colleagues.
  • Proactively organizing and managing customer concerns, sometimes even before they arise.

Your training will empower you to provide timely and effective solutions, while you continuously look for preventive strategies to enhance service delivery. You will escalate complex issues to your supervisors and act as a representative of the NCR brand, ensuring that our customers feel secure and valued through your technical knowledge and consistent communication.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Taking responsibility for the installation, upkeep, and basic repairs of equipment within your assigned territory, all while ensuring complete customer trust and satisfaction.
  • Utilizing your hands-on expertise to work with various products, including ATMs, point-of-sale systems, kiosks, and workstations.
  • Assisting in site preparations, which may involve cable installations, equipment setups, and basic testing of devices.
  • Maintaining all NCR assets utilized in customer service, including tools, software, vehicles, and documentation, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and appropriate inventory management.
  • Documenting customer interactions to facilitate billing and maintain ongoing communication for optimal service delivery.

YOU ARE:

  • A proactive problem-solver who performs regular preventive maintenance.
  • Confident in managing diverse situations while being open to seeking help when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented in record-keeping, ensuring accurate documentation of customer interactions and service-related expenses.
  • A team player, capable of working independently while fostering a collaborative spirit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency; the company does not provide sponsorship for applications.
  • A valid provincial driver's license and a clean driving record that meets NCR fleet standards.
  • The capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • A valid passport for travel to the United States for mandatory training.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Up to one year of relevant experience; familiarity with NCR equipment or similar devices is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems such as Windows XP and Windows 2000.

Before commencing this role, you will be required to obtain specific NCR certifications based on company needs and assigned territories.
