Job Summary

York University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Recruitment Officer to contribute to our international recruitment activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering recruitment presentations, conducting research, and contributing to program development to attract a diverse group of international applicants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of international recruitment strategies and plans.
  • Deliver recruitment presentations and conduct research to identify and engage with potential international students.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver recruitment programs and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to international students and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in international education and recruitment trends.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in educational liaison, presentations, events, and program administration.
  • Experience in advising and addressing complex enquiries.
  • International travel experience is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of secondary schools liaison and admissions criteria.
  • Strong familiarity with Canadian and international educational systems.
  • Effective team collaboration and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.
  • Adaptability to new technology and social media.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  • Physical capability for lifting and carrying.
  • Valid passport and driver's license with a good record.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
