Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Specialist to join our team at BRIGGS ROOFING AND SIDING LIMITED. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to work effectively in various outdoor settings and at heights.

Education Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Work Environment
  • Work will be conducted at heights and outdoors.
  • Various locations will be utilized for job assignments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install or replace roofing materials including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and masonry or baked clay tiles on sloped roofs.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces, both above and below ground level.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to install and repair metal roofing.
  • Install sheet metal flashings as required.
Certifications and Training
  • Completion of Working at Heights training.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course is mandatory.
Transportation and Travel
  • Candidate must have access to personal transportation.
Physical Demands
  • Fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
  • Capable of handling heavy loads, with a workload that can be substantial.
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Tools and Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • This is a permanent position.
  • Work language: English.
  • Expected working hours range from 30 to 55 hours per week.
