About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Briggs Roofing and Siding Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair roofs on buildings, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Install sheet metal flashings to ensure a watertight seal.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing.
  • Work site environment: At heights, outdoors.
  • Work setting: Various locations.
  • Tasks: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Working at heights training, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing.
