Job Summary:

The Architectural Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Architecture Department at Mattamy Homes Corporation. This position will be responsible for preparing and coordinating architectural materials for sales and marketing purposes, working closely with external consultants and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate architectural materials, including floor plans, elevations, and other graphics, for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Review and coordinate updates to floor plans and elevations across multiple formats, including the company website.
  • Collaborate with divisional marketing staff to meet deadlines for all materials, working within established processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement, streamlining the process from architectural drawings to print-ready graphics files for sales purposes.
  • Verify that architectural working drawings correspond with marketing brochures, and forward any discrepancies to the appropriate departments.
  • Perform other graphics, layout, and floor plan-related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read Construction Working drawings.
  • Understanding of various file extensions and ability to request file type accurately for required needs.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly identify missing or misalignment across multiple files.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, juggling priorities and addressing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work with little supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to problem-solve.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or Technician.
  • 1-2 years of architecture-related work experience; willing to train new graduates.
  • Passionate about home design and homebuilding.
  • Experience with InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of typography, color, usability, layout, production, and other design principles.
