About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Great Bear Construction Group Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials

You will measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct, repair, and renovate buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Build and Install Structural Components

You will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of our projects.

Maintain and Repair Buildings

You will maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

You must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 3 years of experience in the field of employment.

Work Setting

You will work in a construction setting, which may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials.
