Job Title: Rough Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our team at C DeVin Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our building projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
