Job Summary:

We are seeking a Psychologist (Casual) to join our interdisciplinary team at Millard Health in Edmonton, Alberta. As a Psychologist (Casual), you will be responsible for identifying and addressing clients' psychological barriers to return to work and providing psycho-education to assist with the return to work process.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to injured workers suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries, and/or brain injuries.
  • Complete psychological assessments and counseling sessions to enhance clients' abilities to return to work.
  • Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability-related issues.
  • Mentor undergraduate Psychology Interns.
  • Assist with program development as required.
  • Collaborate with Psychology peers to ensure best practice as required.
  • Work on special needs teams such as Complex, Traumatic Psychological Injury, or Brain Injury as part of continued development and to support ongoing business needs.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and who have completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP's).
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with physical and/or chronic pain is preferred.
  • Research and psychological consultant experience is an asset.

Salary: H6 (Master's Level) - $47.09 to $60.95 per hour or H7 (Ph.D. Level) - $51.52 to $67.04 per hour
