Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned IT business analyst with a strong focus on security and reporting to enhance our cybersecurity division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend their security requirements, challenges, and goals, translating these into actionable cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ascertain reporting needs and convert them into technical specifications and data models.
  • Facilitate effective communication and teamwork between business and technical units, ensuring a clear understanding of security requirements and deliverables.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in security data, emphasizing areas of risk and potential improvements.
  • Analyze business processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing security controls, optimizing workflows, and boosting efficiency.
  • Oversee testing activities and document outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation (e.g., user guides, policies, systems, and training) to incorporate new processes and technologies into existing operations.
  • Ensure successful deployment of solutions with appropriate change management, communication, training, and operationalization.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on security reporting best practices, methodologies, and standards, fostering continuous improvement and innovation in reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in security reporting, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in delivering Business Intelligence and Reporting/Dashboard solutions.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing modeling, ETL, and DataLake concepts.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required; Canadian work experience is not mandatory.
  • Bilingualism is necessary for candidates located in Quebec due to regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
