Position Summary

We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned senior IT business analyst with a focus on security, to enhance our cybersecurity division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend their security requirements, challenges, and goals, translating these into actionable cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership, IT departments, and business stakeholders to define reporting needs and convert them into technical specifications and data models.
  • Facilitate effective communication and cooperation between business and technical teams, ensuring a mutual understanding of security requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in security data, emphasizing areas of risk and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for strengthening security controls, optimizing workflows, and boosting efficiency.
  • Oversee testing activities and document outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation (e.g., user manuals, policies, systems, and training) that incorporates new processes and technologies into existing operations.
  • Ensure that solutions are effectively implemented with appropriate change management, communication, training, and operationalization.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on best practices, methodologies, and standards in security reporting, driving ongoing improvement and innovation in reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in security reporting, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in delivering Business Intelligence and Reporting/Dashboard solutions.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing modeling, as well as ETL and DataLake concepts.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required; Canadian work experience is not mandatory.
  • For candidates in Quebec, bilingualism is essential due to the need for regular interaction with English-speaking colleagues across the nation.
