Position Overview:

The Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with embodying and promoting JM's core values while ensuring the delivery of the JM experience. This role involves overseeing the Maintenance Technicians, guaranteeing that safety protocols, work quality, effective communication, teamwork, and accountability are maintained at optimal levels. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance operations encompassing preventive and predictive maintenance, special projects, and service tasks across the plant, utilities, offices, and production equipment. The supervisor will procure necessary tools for in-house repairs and engage contractors for specialized tasks as needed. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the computerized maintenance management system to ensure regulatory compliance and effective asset management, while monitoring equipment performance to initiate corrective actions and justify future replacement needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within the facility.
  • Engage in the Management of Change program as required.
  • Assist the HS&E Specialist with contractor safety training and coordination.
  • Foster team building and effective communication.
  • Enhance collaboration within the maintenance department and across other departments.
  • Establish and uphold a respectful workplace culture.
  • Conduct and review the Maintenance pass-down during shift meetings.
  • Communicate significant events and issues to the plant team as necessary.
  • Hold regular meetings with team members to ensure efficient and effective work execution.

Qualifications (Education, Skills, and Abilities):

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems is essential.
  • Must demonstrate organized and consistent work habits.
  • Self-motivation is crucial for this role.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze technical data for informed decision-making.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including algebra.
  • Experience with PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to safely lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds, often in challenging positions.
  • Frequent use of hands for various tasks.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
