Job Title: Assistant Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Ikou Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices with suppliers, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Arrange products according to planograms to ensure optimal display and sales.
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, sales data, and supplier information.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay informed about new products and trends.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other relevant software.
