About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Buyer to join our team at Ikou Inc. as a Merchandise Coordinator. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in purchasing and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research and Analysis

Conduct thorough market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior.

Purchasing and Inventory Management

Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of merchandise to our stores.

Supplier Relationships

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.

Merchandise Planning

Inventory Control

Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking and understocking.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as business or supply chain management.

Experience

Skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
