We are in search of a meticulous and organized Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Managing inventory in alignment with fabrication and maintenance schedules.
- Building and nurturing relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conducting regular evaluations of supplier performance.
- Overseeing vendor time and materials for fabrication and maintenance activities.
- Formulating and executing procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Processing purchase orders and requisitions accurately within company systems.
- Maintaining an updated fabrication and build schedule.
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure a balanced supply while minimizing excess.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal value.
- Analyzing market trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
- Tracking key metrics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Managing procurement-related risks, including supplier reliability.
- Collaborating with departments such as Accounting and Manufacturing to provide procurement support.
- Working with the legal team to review contract terms.
- Generating reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
- Utilizing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
