As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a meticulous approach to managing multiple priorities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Maintaining inventory levels in accordance with production schedules.
- Building and nurturing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Conducting regular evaluations of supplier performance.
- Overseeing vendor time and materials in line with production timelines.
- Developing procurement strategies that align with corporate objectives.
- Processing purchase orders and requisitions to ensure accurate tracking of costs.
- Monitoring inventory to maintain adequate supply while minimizing excess.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing to secure optimal value.
- Analyzing market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting on key metrics to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with departments such as Accounting and Manufacturing to meet their procurement needs.
- Working with the legal team to review contract terms.
- Generating reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Utilizing data to recommend improvements in procurement processes.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
