We are seeking a meticulous and organized Procurement Specialist to oversee our procurement operations. The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Managing inventory in accordance with production and maintenance schedules.
- Building and nurturing relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conducting regular evaluations of supplier performance.
- Overseeing vendor time and materials for fabrication and maintenance tasks.
- Formulating and executing procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Processing purchase orders and requisitions to ensure accurate tracking of costs.
- Maintaining an updated fabrication and production schedule.
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure a balance between supply and demand.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing to secure optimal value.
- Analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting on key metrics to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Managing procurement-related risks, including supplier reliability.
- Collaborating with departments such as Accounting and Manufacturing to provide procurement support.
- Working with the legal team to review contract terms.
- Generating reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Utilizing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Effective planning and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
