Global Mobility Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Global Mobility to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our Canada and US immigration processes, partnering with external legal counsel to provide a positive employee experience for immigration support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Canada and US/International mobility guidance and support, including visa and work permit requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic mobility programs and practices for Canada and US immigration.
- Act as the subject matter expert on immigration programs and services, partnering with the People & Culture team and area leaders to manage and enhance our immigration processes.
- Develop and recommend overall global mobility policies and programs for EllisDon.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise in global mobility for the business and local People & Culture representatives.
- Support the execution of global mobility activities for the Domestic and International relocation processes.
- Identify risks and provide input into mitigation and action planning, escalating when necessary.
- Advise employees on international and domestic relocation moves.
- Maintain cross-border policies and templates.
- Develop, manage, and maintain key relationships with external and internal stakeholders supporting the relocation process.
Requirements:
- University degree/diploma at the Bachelors level or above in a relevant field, or a combination of education and equivalent practical training and experience.
- 5 + years of applicable previous experience supporting global mobility processes.
- Expert level understanding of Canadian and US immigration policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of Canadian and US immigration laws.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and process improvement mentality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with team members, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly.
- French-English bilingualism is a strong asset.
