Job Title: Global Mobility Manager

Location: Mississauga, ON

Status: Permanent, full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Mobility Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our Canada and US immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Canada and US/International mobility guidance and support, including visa and work permit requirements
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic mobility programs and practices for Canada and US immigration
  • Act as the subject matter expert on immigration programs and services, partnering with external legal counsel to provide a positive employee experience for immigration support
  • Develop and recommend overall global mobility policies and programs for EllisDon
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of cross-border talent by liaising between the employee and internal key points of contact (HR, Payroll, Operations etc.)
  • Support the execution of global mobility activities for the Domestic and International relocation processes
  • Identify risks and provide input into mitigation and action planning, escalating when necessary
  • Advise employees on international and domestic relocation moves
  • Maintain cross border policies and templates
  • Develop, manage, and maintain key relationships with external and internal stakeholders supporting the relocation process
Requirements:
  • University degree/diploma at the Bachelors level or above in a relevant field, or a combination of education and equivalent practical training and experience
  • 5 + years of applicable previous experience supporting global mobility processes
  • Expert level understanding of Canadian and US immigration policies and procedures
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US immigration laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong reporting, analytical, and process improvement mentality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with team members, including internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly
  • French-English bilingualism is a strong asset
