About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Services Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Dynacare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality of laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure blood samples and other laboratory specimens with precision and care.
  • Enter requisitions and process samples for transportation accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to create a positive patient experience.
  • Display empathy, care, and kindness when interacting with patients, particularly in stressful situations.
  • Contribute to the collection and processing of laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to meet quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality indicators.
Requirements
  • Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and understandably to patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable mode of transportation to travel between locations.
