Position: Store Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of customer service
  • Train and inspire team members
  • Foster a positive work environment, providing guidance and support to staff
  • Create and adjust work schedules to align with business needs
  • Delegate tasks and prioritize workload effectively
  • Implement merchandising strategies to enhance brand visibility
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
  • Oversee the receiving, handling, and storage of products for optimal results
  • Maintain category sets and mix for profitability as needed
  • Utilize reports to ensure overall store profitability
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to manage credits and inventory levels
  • Ensure accurate purchasing and ordering for the store
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective ordering and rotation
  • Uphold pricing integrity
  • Coordinate daily employee activities and serve as a resource for staff
  • Perform any additional duties necessary to ensure excellent service and product quality
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Proven ability to manage teams – 3-5 years of management experience required
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of key success factors for a discount food retail environment
  • Awareness of the impact of management on store performance in customer service, employee relations, merchandising, and sales/profits
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Skills in issue management, including time management, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Comprehensive knowledge of produce operations and products
