Store Operations Manager

Position: Store Operations ManagerResponsibilities:
- Ensure a consistently high standard of customer service
- Train and inspire team members
- Foster a positive work environment, providing guidance and support to staff
- Create and adjust work schedules to align with business needs
- Delegate tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance brand visibility
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
- Oversee the receiving, handling, and storage of products for optimal results
- Maintain category sets and mix for profitability as needed
- Utilize reports to ensure overall store profitability
- Collaborate with sales representatives to manage credits and inventory levels
- Ensure accurate purchasing and ordering for the store
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective ordering and rotation
- Uphold pricing integrity
- Coordinate daily employee activities and serve as a resource for staff
- Perform any additional duties necessary to ensure excellent service and product quality
- Proven ability to manage teams – 3-5 years of management experience required
- Capability to work with minimal supervision
- Understanding of key success factors for a discount food retail environment
- Awareness of the impact of management on store performance in customer service, employee relations, merchandising, and sales/profits
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Skills in issue management, including time management, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comprehensive knowledge of produce operations and products
