Position: Associate Store Manager
Company: Loblaw

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a consistently high standard of customer service
  • Train and inspire team members
  • Create a positive work environment, providing coaching and support for employee concerns
  • Prepare and adjust work schedules to align with business needs
  • Delegate tasks and prioritize workloads effectively
  • Implement merchandising strategies to enhance brand visibility
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
  • Oversee the receiving, handling, and storage of products for optimal results
  • Maintain product categories and adjust for profitability as needed
  • Utilize reports to ensure overall store profitability
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to manage product displays and orders
  • Ensure accurate purchasing and ordering for seasonal needs
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective management
  • Guarantee pricing accuracy
  • Coordinate daily employee activities and serve as a resource for team members
  • Perform any additional duties necessary to ensure exceptional service and product quality

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3-5 years of management experience with a focus on team leadership
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of the discount food retail environment
  • Awareness of the impact of management on key performance areas:
  • Customer service
  • Employee relations
  • Merchandising
  • Sales and profitability

Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening. A commitment to superior customer service and effective issue management skills are essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Knowledge of produce operations and products is a plus.
