About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IAM professional to lead our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Scotiabank. As a Director, GIAM, IAM Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for IAM solutions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of IAM solution architects and engineers to design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions.
  • Provide strong leadership and drive employee empowerment to achieve high engagement and productivity.
  • Oversee the architecture and design of identity solutions for the enterprise in a large and distributed environment.
  • Deliver complex projects providing global, innovative solutions that improve IAM capabilities.
  • Manage IT design, development, and support teams to support the enablement of IAM capabilities.
  • Assess and select IAM technologies and integration partners.
  • Manage relationships, stakeholders, and influence at all levels up to senior executives.
  • Perform management tasks including incident response, vendor and contract management, infrastructure management, and service resiliency.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience architecting, developing, integrating, implementing, and managing complex solutions and large IT teams.
  • Proven experience in the IAM industry and expert understanding of IAM technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of modern IAM protocols and frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines and tools, and strong knowledge of SDLC practices.
  • Experience with program delivery, including planning and estimation.
  • Excellent people leadership and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise in cybersecurity best practices and understanding of compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Delivery experience.
  • Certification(s) (CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
