Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified professor to teach advanced manufacturing processes and innovative technologies. As a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering lectures, leading research projects, and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach advanced manufacturing courses, including topics such as additive manufacturing, composite manufacturing, and laser-assisted manufacturing.
  • Conduct research in advanced manufacturing and publish papers in reputable journals.
  • Mentor students in research projects and provide guidance on their academic and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to secure funding and collaborations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong background and active research in advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
