We are in search of a talented Speech Analyst to become a vital member of our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving the efficiency of our voice applications by examining speech patterns, refining conversational bots, and creating robust language models. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate speech and text data to enhance voice recognition and natural language understanding (NLU) models.
  • Optimize and annotate conversational bots, concentrating on improving performance and user engagement.
  • Design and apply data visualization and modeling techniques to uncover trends and patterns in speech data.
  • Develop and refine utterances for various contexts to boost the accuracy and naturalness of conversational models.
  • Collaborate with the development team to support the integration and enhancement of voice applications, such as Google Dialogflow.
  • Utilize project management and documentation tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve speech recognition challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Uphold high standards of data annotation in multiple languages, focusing on English and French, ensuring precision and relevance.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in data analysis, with a solid foundation in statistical analysis and data mining.
  • Expertise in machine learning and deep learning methodologies applicable to speech analysis.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in conversational bot tuning and speech analysis, including speech repair and NLU system optimization.
  • Familiarity with IVR applications and voice application development.
  • Native or professional proficiency in English and French; proficiency in Spanish is an additional asset.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the aptitude to identify issues and implement strategic solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
