Join our team at CDM TAX LTD as an Accounting Specialist. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting operations.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role is preferred.
- On-site customer service is expected.
- Position may require relocation.
- Work is conducted in a rural area.
- Process payroll by calculating and preparing cheques.
- Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Oversee general ledgers and financial statements.
- Post journal entries accurately.
- Generate various statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Prepare tax documentation and returns.
- Compile trial balances of accounts.
- Reconcile discrepancies in accounts.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
- Experience with QuickBooks and TaxPrep is advantageous.
- Public transportation options are available.
- Ability to work independently and with attention to detail is crucial.
- Demonstrates accuracy and client-focused service.
- Exhibits dependability and strong interpersonal skills.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Shows flexibility, sound judgment, and organizational skills.
