We are seeking a highly skilled Learning & Development Specialist to join our People & Culture team at John Brooks Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative training programs that empower employees to grow and thrive in their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a structured career framework that aligns with organizational goals, outlining clear progression paths and competencies for various roles within the company.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and relevant assessments to identify training requirements across departments and recommend tailored learning solutions to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Create training programs that support employee development, leveraging cutting-edge educational techniques and multimedia.
  • Work closely with senior management, department heads, and other internal stakeholders to gather feedback and insights that inform the development of training materials and career progression pathways.
  • Lead and manage training projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, approved budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and career framework initiatives, providing regular reports to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in a related field.
  • Between 6-9 years of relevant experience in the training, learning, and career development space.
  • Project management experience; excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in learning management systems and training technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Must be confident and optimistic.
  • Must be driven and determined to achieve goals.
  • Must have strategic agility, be open-minded, and demonstrate creativity.
  • Must be able to work independently but also be a collaborative team player.
  • Self-starter who proactively takes the initiative on tasks and will be driving the change management efforts.
  • Strong proficiency in computer and software skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; attention to detail is a must.
