Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance critical competencies essential for success in this position, including risk management, transformation initiatives, business insight, strategic planning, and technological advancements.
- Oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the precision, integrity, and dependability of financial reporting.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of timely and accurate financial statements and other accounting documentation in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating financial risks, providing reports on these risks to senior management.
- Establish and maintain a robust internal control system to protect assets, prevent fraudulent reporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial information, including regular evaluations of control effectiveness and addressing any identified deficiencies.
- Develop and implement current financial policies and procedures to promote consistent and effective financial practices throughout the organization.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, collaborating with IT teams to integrate financial systems with other enterprise solutions.
- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities, and support other departments in their regulatory report preparation and review.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.
Advisory Role: Provide guidance to key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional impacts and alignment.
Risk Management: Manage and mitigate risks through thorough assessments, supporting the control and governance framework.
Leadership: Exhibit leadership and accountability in managing risks and enhancing controls related to your team's operations.
