Executive Director of Educational Initiatives

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in project management and fundraising within the charitable sector.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Fundraising, or Project Management.
About the Organization: Our organization is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for children, particularly in Indigenous communities across Canada. We collaborate with local leaders to support educational initiatives, including funding for lunch programs and the establishment of libraries and learning centers.
Role Overview: We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to manage our operations and foster sustainable growth. This individual will play a crucial role in understanding our mission and building relationships within our global network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising & Donor Relations: Develop and implement the annual fundraising strategy, support initiatives by staff and volunteers, and explore new funding opportunities. Responsibilities include grant writing, event coordination, donor stewardship, and maintaining donor databases.
- Program Management: Oversee the execution of the annual work plan, including various educational projects and volunteer coordination.
- Team Leadership: Facilitate regular staff meetings to ensure open communication and project alignment. Prepare quarterly reports for the Board and maintain engagement with board members.
- Volunteer Coordination: Manage seasonal volunteer programs and trips to support educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Indigenous cultures and educational challenges faced by on-reserve students.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team.
- Strong fundraising experience, including knowledge of budget management.
- Proficient in strategic planning, time management, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with familiarity in digital tools and platforms.
