Job Summary

A & K Enns Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure vehicle reliability.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; experience is an asset.
  • Transportation Experience: Local, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul transportation experience is preferred.
  • Security and Safety: A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a criminal record check are required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional physical demands.
