Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Assign Duties: Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and Train: Hire and train new staff members to ensure they are equipped to handle the demands of the produce department.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules to ensure that the produce department is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that the produce department is operating efficiently.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the produce department is stocked with the highest quality products.
- Supervise Office Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of office staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, dependability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of activity.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately.
- Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and customers.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and dependability in all aspects of the job.
