Job Overview:

Eternal Tech Systems is seeking a highly skilled Database Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing database solutions using Oracle and MS SQL technologies.
  • Ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our database systems.
  • Collaborating with application developers and other technical staff to resolve database-related issues.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration, including experience with Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and OEM 12c.
  • 5 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration, including experience with SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 SP1, and 2014.
  • Experience with AIX, Linux, and other operating systems.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including database design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Oracle OCP or OCA certification.
  • MS SQL Server certification.
  • Experience with Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c, and other database management tools.
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes and other productivity software.
