Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of financial processes and implementing solutions to maximize department efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial System Administration: Lead core system administration functions for our cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications, including financial close and consolidation, account reconciliation, planning and budgeting, and narrative reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure continuity of all EPM applications by updating systems' chart of account members and associated mappings from the guidance of Finance and Tax leadership.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team with developing and standardizing business unit reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Complete various ad hoc tasks such as user administration, data integration tasks, training, documentation, and more in all EPM applications.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes, the information/data required and generated by these processes, and the computer application functionality that ensures these processes are cost-effective and efficient, especially within EPM.
  • Continuous Improvement: Organize and facilitate meetings and interviews to identify continuous improvement opportunities in the business through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems with subject matter experts in Finance and Tax.
  • Business Process Conversions: Assist in business process conversions and implementation plans for local and remote sites.
  • System Testing: Support acceptance testing of system enhancements and monthly patch updates to ensure system functions in accordance with detailed specifications and internal audit requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the functional areas to support system enhancements with Finance Leadership.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and apply the team's Standard Operating Procedures (templates, metrics, etc.).
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting.
  • Designations: CPA designation is an asset.
  • Training: Project management and/or business analysis training is an asset.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience in enterprise or accounting business systems.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Methodologies: Knowledge of agile and waterfall application delivery methodologies an asset.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Knowledge business process redesign or re-engineering is an advantage.
  • System Configuration: System configuration and/or development knowledge is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
