About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Constable to join our team at CPKC. As a key member of our Corporate Risk department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to prevent and investigate crimes, and maintain public safety through education and enforcement.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support prosecution and conviction of offenders.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to promote public safety and awareness.
  • Participate in emergency response and crisis management efforts to ensure the safety of employees and the public.
Requirements
  • Must be a Canadian citizen.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Must be fluent in both English and French.
  • Must have completed and passed basic police recruit training with a recognized police service in Canada.
  • Must be a first-class police constable in good standing with a recognized Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal police service.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System and enforcement under provincial statutes is required.
  • Community involvement and basic computer skills are assets.
  • Must be able to pass a fitness test and possess a valid driver's license for the province in which they are employed.
  • Must be qualified in first aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Must meet CPKC Police Firearms and Use of Force Standards.
