Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Retread Technician to join our team at Goodyear Canada Inc. As a Retread Technician, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality retread tires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train for all aspects of retread tire manufacturing, including inspecting and buffing tire carcasses, applying rubber compounds, curing, and quality control.
  • Follow processes to ensure retread tire completion.
  • Comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies, including using protective safety equipment to ensure safe operation of machines.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment criteria.
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in French.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

What We Offer:

Goodyear Canada Inc. offers a competitive pay and comprehensive total rewards package designed with your financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing in mind. The wage range for this position is $/hour with $1/hr shift differential (Potential to earn additional $10,000 to $15,000 annually from Overtime); however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and market location.
