Job Summary:

Goodyear Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Retread Technician to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a Retread Technician, you will be responsible for training and expertise in all aspects of retread tire manufacturing, including inspecting and buffing tire carcasses, applying rubber compounds, curing, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train for all aspects of retread tire manufacturing, including inspecting and buffing tire carcasses, applying rubber compounds, curing, and quality control
  • Follow processes to ensure retread tire completion
  • Comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies, including using protective safety equipment to ensure safe operation of machines
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment criteria
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in French
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

What We Offer:

Goodyear Canada Inc. offers a competitive pay and comprehensive total rewards package designed with your financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing in mind. The wage range for this position is $22.25 - 24.30/hour with $1/hr shift differential; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and market location.
